I have really been enjoying my Highschool Spanish class. I am learning the language quickly and it seems to be so easy. I chose spanish as my highschool language mainly because I wanted to learn it for a purpose. That purpose was to learn enough spanish to be able to write a letter in it. I sponsor a little girl from Mexico with Compassion. We send letters back and forth. Of course someone in between me and her must translate the letters. I have a goal: to be able to write all of my letter in her language, Spanish. I think this would be very special to her. If you have been thinking about sponsoring a child, think no more. It has been a great experience. I enjoy sending her not only letters, but fun goodies as well. Stickers, drawings, bracelets, etc. She always loves to receive pictures of me and my family. It is a joy to receive her letters in the mail every few months. Once she wrote, “I am so glad to have you as my sponsor and to know you think of me.” In every letter she likes to tell me what is going on in her life. She writes about school, celebrations and family. She always thanks me for her Christmas gift and tells me everything she received. I am thankful I have the opportunity to sponsor her.
Another part of my Spanish class I love is projects. My teacher assigns projects to us and I have a lot of fun creating them. Recently I had to make Peruvian Beads. They turned out really well. You can visit my tutorial and view the pictures.
